The Lakehead Employee Experience Survey provides an opportunity for you to express your thoughts about your day-to-day work experience. Your insights guide actions that strengthen our culture, support professional growth, and enhance how we work together. Whether faculty or staff, you play a vital role in shaping what Lakehead is today–and what it can become tomorrow.
Employee engagement surveys are tools used by organizations to gather feedback from employees to assess their experiences, satisfaction, and overall engagement with their workplace. The results of employee engagement surveys typically identify areas of strength and areas needing attention. Employee experience is a key priority for Lakehead; this survey will provide a clear understanding of employee perspectives to drive continuous improvement.

Through our partnership with TELUS Health, we’re sharing a collection of resources designed to support your mental and emotional well-being during this difficult time. These services are available to everyone — whether or not you're currently using TELUS Health services.
Crisis Support Resource Hub
- An open-access site with free articles, tools, and mental health resources to help individuals navigate the emotional impact of global conflict and trauma.
24/7 Community Crisis Line
- If you or someone in your network doesn’t have access to an Employee Assistance Program (EAP), TELUS Health has activated a 24/7 Community Crisis Line at 1-844-751-2133. This service is confidential and open to anyone — including friends, neighbours, or extended family — who may need support.

As a reminder, employees and their eligible family members have 24/7 access to confidential support through our EAP. Services include:
- Crisis counselling
- Ongoing emotional and mental health support

New Monthly Gathering! Lakehead Gathers: Your Community, Your Wellbeing
We are excited to announce a new monthly gathering, Lakehead Gathers: Your Community, Your Wellbeing, designed to bring together all of us employees in a welcoming environment focused on connection, wellness, and community building.
Part of our Wellness Strategy, Lakehead Gathers is a monthly lunchtime event series hosted by Human Resources to bring our campus community together. It’s a chance to step away from daily routines, connect with colleagues, and explore all nine dimensions of wellness through meaningful activities.
From creative sessions and cultural celebrations to outdoor picnics and movement-based events, each gathering offers space to recharge, share ideas, and build a sense of belonging. Activities include guest speakers, breakout discussions, and time to simply unwind with others.
🕛 When: Third Thursday of most months, 12–1:30 p.m. (excludes Sept, May & Dec; July will be outdoors, weather permitting)
