Welcome to The English Language Centre

The English Language Centre offers a wide variety of English language courses in order to help you meet your educational, professional and personal goals. From beginner to university level, we have a program that will get you there. Upon successful completion of our program, students receive an official micro-credential certificate from the Community Zone at Lakehead University. This credential not only enhances your resume but also demonstrates your proficiency in English, providing a competitive edge in both academic and professional environments. It signifies a commitment to skill development and can open doors to further education, job opportunities, and career advancement.

We support the unique needs of students by incorporating experiential learning practices, both in and outside of the classroom environment. Experiential learning projects encourage student's engagement with guest speaker presentations and community-based visits that support classroom unit material.

All of our programs include a pre-arrival webinar, orientation, graduation ceremony, airport transportation, access to our Homestay Program, and an official transcript or micro-credential certificate.

The English Language Centre is proudly certified by Orion Assessment Services, a member in good standing with Languages Canada for 8 years and is a new member of BELTA.
