PLEASE NOTE: Opting out of the LUSU Health & Dental Plan does not impact your access to services from Student Health and Wellness; they are different fees/plans for different services.

Eligibility Criteria for Services

Full-time and Part-time undergraduate and graduate students who have paid the appropriate ancillary fees are eligible to access Student Health and Wellness services. Learn more about Lakehead Ancillary Fees.

Eligible students typically have access to the services for the current academic year. Eligibility for services continues until the end of April. Students who are not registered for Spring/Summer courses but would like to continue to access services and are returning in the fall can do so by paying a small extension fee.

In addition, when accessing our health services, eligible students must also provide proof of valid health insurance coverage. Examples of health insurance coverage are OHIP, other provincial health insurance plans, or the University Health insurance Plan (UHIP). Students must bring their student card and proof of valid health insurance coverage when booking an appointment or checking in for an appointment.
